Enrichment Programs

Enrichment programs are an integral part of 21C curriculum and they are aimed at offering our students a rich and rewarding learning experience

Early years is the time when children develop basic motor skills or the ability to use their bodies and physical skills. Fit.n.Fine consists of a variety of age appropriate physical activities. It is designed to help the children achieve their physical development milestones.

Everyday children spend 30 minutes in physical activities which is 50% of the recommended daily PA time. Fit.n.Fine helps children develop muscular strength, endurance, balance and flexibility.

There is a growing awareness of the importance of connecting children with nature. Green Club program is developed with the same purpose. Research shows that children are more creative when they are exposed to nature.

Green Club program consists of various activities designed to help children learn using all of their senses as well as imagination. These include Art in the Garden, Clayplay, We Grow, Annual Tree Planting, Flower Show, Pet show, Zoo Safari  and Park Days.

This early years technology enrichment program is probably the only program of its kind in Pakistan. Designed for Kindy students, It's based on the most modern techniques. TVS provides foundation for technology education beyond first grade.

Studio activities are designed for children aged 3-5 years and are a fun way to tune fine motor skills.  Children learn basics of the art and science of robotics, architecture, engineering, photography and graphic design.

At VonHayat, character development is one of the most important aspects  of education. We consider it critical to the success of students as it addresses them as individuals, learners and as future leaders. Therefore, core ethical and performance values are embedded in our curriculum.

Our character education is based on extensive research and some of the most effective models. Apart from teaching ethical values to our young learners, we also ensure that VonHayat school  remains a caring community. Young learners are introduced to 'Golden rules' from their first day in school.

From 'Golden Rules' in kindergarten to 'Falah Club' in junior school, VonHayat  offers a comprehensive approach to character development.

 Featured Club

According to a study by UN Foundation and Indiana University, talking to children about giving is an extremely effective way to encourage philanthropy at a young age.

Team Falah is a charity initiative managed by students of VonHayat students and aimed at reinforcing charitable values  at young age. This program helps young learners grow as socially more engaged and compassionate individuals. They visit charitable organizations to learn about and participate in their social work.

They also study social needs of the society and plan solutions. Team Falah Activities are divided into age appropriate tasks and assigned to teams. Children also arrange fund-raising events and collect supplies for charities.

Team Falah is an important part of our character development program. It makes our young learners realize that they can make a difference in this world.

Technology Program

STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is the core of 21-C Curriculum designed to equip our young learners with the skills they need for a successful future.

VonHayat plans to offer a strong STEM Education program based on world class technology kits, audio/video resources and reading material. The aim is to develop and implement most creative strategies to make STEM education a fun.

ICT is another core component of 21-C curriculum and ICT tools are also used to support learning in all core subjects. School's online platform is used by teachers to create, store, manage and share learning resources. VHS Connect is our main communication channel to share information with parents.

Tech Studio program is based on research and recommendations of some of the leading universities. The program helps children explore concepts and ideas related to robotics, electronics, and engineering.

This is a structured program and it's divided into eight units for grades 1 - 8. Tech.Studio programs will be based on specially imported science and technology kits.

Computational thinking helps children think logically and solve problems. Studies prove that children who learn coding are less afraid of taking risks and are confident in all areas of learning, especially science.

Code Studio program will introduce children to write and test programs using educational programming languages. They will also be able to use programming for robotic construction kits, create video games, animations  and other interactive programs.

ICT is integrated as a learning tool in our 21-C Learning Framework and extensively used by school community. Our young learners will also be taught to find and use knowledge resources available on internet.

Other feature of our ICT curriculum include  e-Book making, class blogs, information management, collaborative projects  and electronic communication.
